RAINBOWS Ipswich – Resource And Information Network, Building Opportunities & Wellbeing Service

Our mission

Creating a safe space

We know, “There’s no place like home”, but feeling wanted and understood elsewhere brings great joy. We strive to create a place where everyone feels safe and happy.

Uniting the Community

Everyone deserves respect and good treatment, regardless of their background, limitations, religion, or preferences. Our goal is to reach out to people and show them that they are not alone.

Supporting Traders

From the very beginning, one of our goal has been to help local traders, as we know how difficult it is to find a place for their handmade goods. That is why we are delighted if we can help even just a few traders.

“We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny.

Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."

Martin Luther King Jr.

Workshop Ideas

Crochet & Cross Stitch

Is crocheting just an activity for grandmas? Do you associate cross-stitch with flowers and butterflies embroidered on a tablecloth? What if you could use yarn to craft your child’s favorite stuffed toy? Or make a keychain or bag charm featuring a beloved cartoon or anime character? Intrigued?

Metalworking & Jewelry Making

Metalworking and jewelry making are excellent ways to use up spare charms, beading wire, or metal scraps – such as nails or offcuts – lying around the house. After all, who doesn’t love receiving handmade jewelry or a beautiful, handcrafted metal candle holder?

Painting & Papercraft

Painting is the most beautiful yet very challenging form of art. Stunning paintings and beautiful prints make perfect home decorations. However, canvas can be used for much more – such as greeting cards or “explosion boxes” – which make excellent gifts.
